Step by Step Rental Procedure

Did you find a rental home that fits your requirements? Please contact Amsterdam Property Renting to indicate in which house(s) you are interested in. We will then immediately contact you to discuss the following before we schedule an appointment to view the house:
- Is your monthly income sufficient to rent the house?
- With how many people do you want to live in the house?
- Do you have pets?
- When do you want to move in?
- For how long do you wish to rent the house?
Based on the evaluation of the above questions, we will schedule a viewing with you. During the viewing, you can ask all your questions directly to the Amsterdam Property Renting agent. Are you not available to visit in person? We also regularly conduct virtual viewings via Skype or FaceTime.
When you decide to rent the house, the Amsterdam Property Renting agent will ask you to register for free and provide the documents to prove your income in addition to the copy of your identity card. These documents are then checked for correctness before you are presented to the landlord of the house. When the landlord accepts you as his/her new tenant, you are asked to sign a letter of intent to rent and to pay a deposit of up to half a month’s rent. After the letter of intent to rent is signed and the down payment is received, we remove the listing from the website and draw up the rental agreement.
You will receive the rental agreement in advance of the date of key collection. So that you have the time to read it carefully. Together with the rental agreement you will receive the payment overview for the first month’s rent (minus the down payment) and the deposit. During the check-in you will receive the keys and, together with you, we will create an extensive inspection report with photos of the house, of which both you and the landlord will receive a signed copy.
